Accounting Manager

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Accounting Manager. As an Accounting Manager, you will support the Assistant Controller and Controller in managing accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results, also supports Assistant Controller and Controller to establish and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares and maintains accounting records and examines, analyzes and interprets these records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements. Either assists or prepares various financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries. Participates in the organization, planning and preparation of auditing schedules.

• Supervise assigned staff, ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintain Chart of Accounts and Prepare Trial Balance used for coordinating account reconciliations.
• Assist the Assistant Controller with “Month-end” book preparation to ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis.
• Investigate and provide possible solutions for Wynne System issues as they impact the Finance area.
• Coordinate and manage the reconciliation of parts and bulk inventories, and other key accounts as assigned
• Maintain compliance with BEA and Census reporting requirements for US entities
• Special Projects as assigned
• Backup to Financial Reporting Manager ( Hyperion Financial Statements and Reports )
• Assist the Assistant Controller w/ audit support and supplemental reporting to parent company
• Perform other duties assigned as by the Assistant Controller, Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA preferred.
• 4-year degree and minimum 5 years working experience in general accounting.
• Computer experience to include Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Hyperion.

• AS 400 and Wynne Rentalman experience a plus

Base Pay Range: $111,120.00 - 152,790.00
