Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Branch Manager.
Branch Managers at Sunbelt Rentals are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the rental center business unit. This includes leading all aspects of Sales, Customer Service, Fleet Maintenance, and Logistics, including achievement of financial and performance goals. The role is also responsible for the unit's operational and financial reporting functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review all contracts raised on a daily basis; i.e., creations, amendments, suspensions, and terminations
- Daily assess the need for purchasing equipment through feedback from salesmen, rental managers, customer feedback, supplier salesmen and Marketing Department Product Managers
- Working alongside Market Sales Leader on a weekly basis to assess and modify the Sales Plan
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all statutory requirements
- Review the debt collection efforts (calls and/or visits made) on a daily basis
- Ensure Salesmen and Customer Service Representatives are aware of slow-moving equipment
- Ensure that Shop Foremen are aware of all equipment not available for rent
- Ensure that Rental Center Yard, facility, and staff are in a presentable state
- Handle various reporting such as monthly rental income forecast, daily contract count, and capitol approval requests
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
- Review and daily monitoring of VDOS
- Running weekly staff Health & Safety meetings
- Responsible for the growth of their region, this includes conducting weekly meetings with Outside Sales Representatives and other Branch Managers
Education or experience that prepares you for success:
- Business Management degree with at least 1 year of Rental Industry experience OR 3-4 years of Rental Industry experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record history
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:
- Experience or knowledge of VDOS, Lytx, GEOTAB, Enablon (accident/incident reporting software), and inventory control
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of P&L and other key financial controls
- Experience in outside sales or other experience in negotiation and influencing
- Experience in construction or industrial markets helpful
- High level of accountability, time management and willingness to learn all aspects of the business
$65,000.00 - $123,395.00
