Job Description Summary

As a E/D Project Manager, you will responsible for the day-to-day management of the E&D task assigned by the Branch Manager. The primary objective is to ensure the field employees are working in a safe and productive manner while meeting our customer’s objectives.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Assist in developing quotes by doing field measurements, take-offs, and estimating labor requirements. • Communicating with the customer representatives and the Sales department concerning issues relevant to the E&D jobs. • Promoting the company’s business while on various job sites by exemplifying good conduct and organization skills along with actual customer exploitation via personal visits and company business cards. Job Preparation• Assist in scheduling E&D crews and projects. • Determine specific job requirements and efficient equipment layouts with consideration on available equipment in the Branch/Region. • Establish contacts at each job site as well as becoming familiar with the site and relaying this information to each E&D employee assigned to the site to work. • Maintain all job box safety supplies on a site-by-site basis including all relevant safety criteria required. This includes looking ahead and making sure supplies have been ordered sufficiently ahead of when they are needed. • Verify with Plant Safety Department, all pertinent issues & training requirements and insure that all E&D personnel are briefed on arriving at the site to work. • Coordination with Labor Manager (if applicable) and Rental Manager of all anticipated labor and material needs in advance, including any material handling equipment. This means pre-plan! Job Execution• Manage mobilization & demobilization of equipment and personnel necessary to execute the given task. • Coordination of labor as to the personnel who report; are correct, are “ready for work”, and have the proper safety gear and training for the task at hand. • Communicate to Supervisor and/or Foreman specific needs of each of the crew members (i.e. personal or otherwise) in an effort to maintain productivity requirements. • Ensure that all Company and Client required safety meetings, including inspections, are completed as required. • Ensure that the JSA, Safety Plan for Erectors and any other required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely fashion. • Customer management. Keep our customer informed and “in the loop” at all times while each job progresses. • Lodging coordination for all traveling employees and our lodging venders. • Signatures on all required paperwork including equipment transactions and labor time sheets. • Manage per diem for the traveling employees and pay out as determined by the Branch policies. • Timely completion of all payroll paperwork by maintaining it daily. • Monitor production levels and man hours worked to ensure a successful project. • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. • Maintain a clean and safety work site. Job Close Out• Request a Talley sheet for the job or jobs that are to be dismantled. • Inventory management- Verify all damaged / lost equipment through proper counts and documentation, prepare and supervise ship out of all job related equipment, and communicate any damage of our equipment to the Yard Manager and to the customer representative/contact. • Account for all equipment including supplies, job boxes, pallets and racks, and any rental machinery assigned to the job site. Make sure any damaged equipment is brought to the attention of the Yard Manager immediately. Tag damaged equipment/tools as “Damaged Do Not Use” and arrange to have equipment returned to the Branch for repair or replacement. • Verify that all scaffolds are inspected by a Competent Person and dismantled and have been removed from the site prior to your Foremen’s departure and/or reassignment. Make arrangements with the Branch concerning any equipment that is intentionally being left behind. Training• Sunbelt’s qualified safety instruction is the key point of training and development of our field employees responsible for E & D services. • Employees shall be given proper instruction as to the safety aspects, particular job applications, proper erection and dismantle procedures, material handling procedures, manpower management, and conduct of all crewmembers. • The E&D Project Manager shall evaluate his team by monitoring each one’s progress and work to develop them to their fullest potential. • The E&D Project Manager shall keep accurate records for each member and shall ensure they are properly trained on the various company and client safety requirements for their job, as well as, providing training when required. • Employees shall have the example set and enforcement of all required safety equipment use and application of, required by the Scaffold Safety Department at all times. • The E&D Project Manager shall recommend employee raises and classification changes in writing to management as well recommend disciplinary action for employees who repeatedly violate company policies and /or procedures. The E&D Project Manager’s role at the Scaffold PC is an extremely important one. The safety culture required to promote reduced incidents and accidents starts with the E&D Project Manager. It is the role-modeling of the E&D Project Manager and the constant enforcement and training of the company’s safety and health policies and procedures that will make our job sites and task, as well as, our customer safe.Please make every effort to be fully aware of the information provided herein and the duties and expectations of your role as the PC E&D Project Manager.
