Construction Manager

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Construction Manager. As a Construction Manager, you will manage company's LHI construction process for new facility development, acquisition conversions, and existing facilities. This role will develop and perform capital (Leasehold) project management for all facilities and to ensure timely and quality results within a project's budget.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain all zoning and use due diligence information to ensure the property can be used for its intended purpose of equipment including permits required to perform work or operate the Profit Center.

• Obtain lease hold improvement bids and assist with LHI budgeting.

• Complete projects on a timely basis while ensuring quality control.

• Work with regional operations to communicate and execute all company projects, including new construction, relocations, remodels and retrofits.

• Select architects and engineers to prepare future plans and contract documents based on experience, budget and timeliness. Visit job site to measure project's performance based on quality, schedule and cost perspectives. Ensure timely and quality repairs and maintenance of existing stores.

• Review and approve contracts, work orders and purchase orders on construction projects.

• Advise management on facility technical matters.

• Attend planning and zoning meetings as required.

• Develop and monitor departmental and construction budget.

• Monitor construction relationships on all projects to ensure proper dissemination of communications.

• Select and/or change vendors, architects, engineers and contractors with appropriate approvals.

• Approve change orders, purchase orders and invoices with designated approval levels; authorize payments within designated levels.

• Manage key lease hold purchases and installations (signs, fuel tanks, security systems etc.)

• Assist management in maintaining environmental compliance.

• Assist mangers with facility maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree, preferred

• 5 years’ construction management experience preferred.

• Good communication skills.
• Must be detailed orientated.
• Negotiation skills.
• Travel required.

Base Pay Range: $90,802.00 - 124,852.20
