Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada– is seeking a Delivery Driver/Yard Associate – You!

As a Driver/Yard Associate, you will deliver and pick up various pieces of equipment and supplies to customer worksites. This driver role operates a vehicle that has a gross weight of less than 26,000 pounds in various driving conditions, including construction zones, urban, suburban and rural traffic. Our double-digit growth and internal promotion rate mean we are constantly looking to add top performers to our team.

Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities that prepares you for success:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with customers
  • Valid Class 5 license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely in a variety of driving situations & conditions
  • Knowledge of tools & equipment based on assigned store's fleet

Responsibility as a Driver/Yard Associate:

  • Deliver and recover equipment at the customer site
  • Loading, unloading and securing the equipment.
  • Inspecting equipment on all returns, noting any lost and/or damaged equipment
  • Prepare orders, ensure that equipment meets all previously set specifications
  • Returning equipment to the proper yard location (i.e. maintenance, damaged, rent ready, etc)
  • Assist technicians to service, repair and/or rebuild equipment as necessary
  • handling of tool/parts request as requested

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
