Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Safety LMS Manager leads the technical and operational deployment, and administration of the Sunbelt Rentals customer-facing learning management system and serves as the LMS technical subject matter expert.

The Safety LMS Manager will be responsible for providing Level-2 technical support to the Customer Care Center and customers, identify ways to deliver and implement cutting edge features, functionality, and processes to our customers, as well as maintain and optimize the system. They will also be responsible for creating reports to control, monitor and audit the training program and platform, and provide the necessary information to customers so they can proactively manage their training programs. All work will be performed in support of the Customer Safety Training strategic plan and related initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Sunbelt’s learning management system, understanding system functionality and configuration options. Recommend and implement optimization and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage the internal implementation process and change management to a new LMS including system configurations and customizations, testing, data migration, scope, budget, communications and go-live.
  • Manage vendor releases ensuring that Sunbelt is capitalizing on new features and functionality. Communicate changes as needed to appropriate user groups.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams supporting complex learning management system customizations and upgrades. This would include working with vendors and system developers, testing enhancements prior to launch, and trouble-shooting post launch so there is minimal impact on customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the deployment of third-party courseware as well as internally developed courses. Upload and test online content before publishing to the production environment. Maintain all control documentation.
  • Configure, generate, and distribute custom reports and dashboards for internal and external use with a focus on controlling, monitoring, and auditing the training program, and providing the necessary information to customers so they can proactively manage their employee training programs and budgets.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, best practices and training for District Safety Trainers, Customer Care Specialists, and users.
  • Ensure user training data is accurate.
  • Ensure system scalability and stability by monitoring the system and developing and enforcing quality standards, policies, processes, and advanced monitoring reporting.
  • Provide best in class customer service by responding timely and accurately as the level-2 escalation point for the Customer Care Center and where appropriate, customers. This may require tracking and reporting process inaccuracies, system functionality concerns, etc.
  • Remain current on LMS industry trends, vendors and best practices ensuring that Sunbelt’s platform is best-in-class relative to emerging technologies.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred: Information Technology, Business Administration) or equivalent experience and 5+ years of LMS administrative expertise with Cornerstone On-Demand, Learning Cart, or equally complex customer facing LMS.
  • Proven track record of developing custom solutions, implementing projects, managing vendor relationships and project budgets.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of data management and data migration.
  • Experience in content management, SCORM and/or AICC content standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven business process, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details in all aspects of their work.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment that is customer service solution focused.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $80,618.00 - 110,849.20
