Job Description Summary

Position Objective:
The candidate will assist PCs with the resolution of halted invoices in an accurate and timely manner according to departmental standards. The position is responsible for contacting PCs regarding halted invoices and providing PC staff with resolution recommendations in order to reduce the overall halted invoice count and aging percentage. AP Halt Analysts may provide training and assistance to Corporate or PC personnel regarding invoice processing and PO maintenance, which includes an electronic processing environment.  

Position Responsibilities:
• Daily contact with assigned locations (approx. 125+/-) regarding halt resolution.
• Completion of daily tasks: response to high email volume within 24 hours, completion of halt clearing associated with several production reports, processor error reporting, and research and resolution of aged/aging halts
• Maintain a monthly average of 9% (or less) for invoices halted more than 45 days.
• Monthly halt accrual reporting (familiarity with GL coding to ensure accuracy of financial reporting).
• Assist processors with receiver adjustments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by AP leadership.


Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Experience:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in high volume AP department.

Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or relevant accounting coursework.

• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
• Dependable, motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask while maintaining keen attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude that is adaptable, flexible, and open to change.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven research and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to an accounting schedule (of no time off at end of month and first business day of the month).
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• AS400 experience preferred.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.  Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.  All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $18.04 - 24.80
