Job Description Summary

Join a team that’s transforming the way customers think about temporary fencing solutions. As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for driving the sales, rental, and installation of Temporary Fencing products across your assigned territory. You’ll grow revenue, strengthen customer relationships, uncover new opportunities, and help build Sunbelt’s brand presence in key market segments.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion and promote Sunbelt’s strong safety culture.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to expand and retain your customer base.
  • Prospect and win new business through phone outreach, planned customer visits, and cold calls.
  • Provide technical sales expertise and application solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Prepare detailed proposals to secure orders and close business.
  • Work closely with internal operations teams to deliver seamless, on-time project outcomes.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends within your territory.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, documenting sales calls and job site details daily.
  • Partner with management to set and achieve annual territory sales goals, KPIs, and revenue targets.
  • Learn and maintain a deep understanding of equipment, applications, and technical specifications.
  • Provide training to customers on equipment use, operation, and maintenance.
  • Support demos, deliveries, and basic diagnostics to ensure customer success.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of temporary fencing projects, from planning to completion.
  • Build and manage relationships with local, regional, and national partners across Sunbelt’s general tool and specialty divisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of construction‑related sales experience.
  • Proven track record in consultative selling.
  • Solid construction knowledge with the ability to learn engineering concepts quickly.
  • ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) knowledge is a plus.
  • A self‑starter with excellent communication skills and strong motivation to achieve results.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple clients and opportunities at once.
  • Able to work independently and meet sales objectives without day‑to‑day oversight.
  • Strong project management, business development, and customer retention abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on territory.

Base Pay Range

40,000.00 - 76,247.00

Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and robust commission plan.
